Cypress Salon

Our roots in the Lake Minnetonka community date back to the early 1960s, when Ardell Jones opened Delo Beauty. After Ardell retired in 2003, longtime Stylist Ruthie Larson took ownership, moved the salon to Mound, and renamed it Cypress Salon.

Katie Sandler began working at Delo Beauty in 1987 and remained with the salon through its move and name change. In 2020, Katie and her husband, Steve, became the owners of Cypress Salon. Today, our team includes six hairstylists and one manicurist.

Our salon has a casual, lake-area feel with the warmth of a neighborhood salon. We provide personalized hair and nail services in a comfortable setting where clients can relax and feel at home.

Over the years, our salon and Stylists have received multiple Laker/Pioneer Readers’ Choice honors, including Lake Area Best Salon and Lake Area Best Stylist.
