Owner & Stylist

Katie Sandler has worked in the beauty industry for more than 40 years. She joined Delo Beauty in Spring Park in 1987 and continued with the salon as it evolved into Cypress Salon and moved to Mound in 2003. She became the owner of Cypress Salon in 2020.

Her services include men’s and women’s haircuts, color, highlights and lowlights. She loves every aspect of salon life and considers her coworkers and clients an extension of her family.

Stylist

Kylee Forsman has worked in the beauty industry since January 2024. She offers full and partial highlights, all-over color, root retouches, perms, shampoo styles, special-event styling, facial waxing, and haircuts for men, women and children.

Her favorite part of being a Stylist is getting to know new people and helping clients feel great about themselves. Outside the salon, she loves being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Stylist

Sarah Hanson has worked in the beauty industry for 30 years and joined Cypress Salon around 2013. Her services include color and retouches, highlights, partial foils, perms, deep conditioning treatments, facial waxing, and haircuts for men, women, teens and children.

Helping clients feel good about their hair is one of Sarah’s favorite parts of being a Stylist. She also enjoys hearing the fun stories they share during appointments. Outside the salon, she enjoys knitting and crafting.

Stylist

Sue Hinrichs has worked as a Hairstylist since 1977, bringing nearly 50 years of experience to the beauty industry. Her education and early training in Europe gave her a strong foundation in the art of hairstyling, which she has continued to build upon throughout her career.

Sue has worked in the Mound community for more than 20 years and values the lasting relationships she has formed with her clients. She is grateful for every person who has trusted her with their hair and become part of her journey.

Stylist

With more than 30 years in the beauty industry, LaurieJo brings extensive experience in haircuts, color, styling, and waxing. Barber-trained with a special interest in men’s cuts, she has also completed advanced training in cutting and color in Beverly Hills. She continues her education each year to stay current with new techniques and trends.

Many of LaurieJo’s clients have been with her for more than 20 years, and the relationships she has built are one of her favorite parts of being a Stylist. She enjoys getting to know each client, understanding their lifestyle, and helping them feel confident and comfortable with their hair.

Outside the salon, LaurieJo loves horses, gardening, yard work, and traveling. She is happiest spending time outdoors, working with her hands, or planning her next adventure.

Nail Technician

Michele Selle began her career in the beauty industry after attending Scott Lewis Nail School in 1999. She started at Delo Beauty that same year and continued with the salon as it transitioned to Cypress Salon in 2003.

Her services include natural nail manicures, pedicures and gel polish. Michele enjoys working one-on-one with her clients and wants each person to leave feeling pampered, refreshed and excited about their nails. Outside the salon, she loves traveling to warm destinations and spending time at the beach.

Candyce (Candy) Woytcke has worked in the beauty industry for 33 years. After attending Scott Lewis Cosmetology School, she began her career at Hair Graphics in Spring Park and purchased the salon four years later. In 2014, she joined Cypress Salon.

Her services include women’s and men’s haircuts, color, highlights, styling, eyebrow and lip waxing, and brow tinting. Candy loves building relationships in a close-knit community and helping people feel confident. Throughout her career, she has celebrated life’s milestones with clients and welcomed generations of families into her chair.
